No! People who are allergic to nuts cannot consume our fresh plant based milk as all our dairy free plant milk contains nuts and even those that don't contain nuts will probably have some kind of cross contamination during the process of milking and negatively affect someone with a nut-allergy.
Please DO NOT consume our fresh plant based milk if you are allergic to any nuts be it soy, cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts or even oats.
Yes, all our fresh plant milk are dairy-free, lactose-free and casein-free, they are suitable for people with dairy allergies.
All our fresh nut milk is gluten free except for our oat milk. However we are working on it and trying to find the best tasting gluten free oats.
Absolutely! The Vegan Milk range of fresh plant milk are all naturally lactose-free.
Yes absolutely! Give it a good shake before consuming as it’s a plant based milk without hormones, antibiotics & cruelty.
No problem at all! At The Vegan Milk, we believe in offering options, hence we offer both original flavour, which is mildly sweetened with medjool dates and we also offer unsweetened options. We understand some of you maybe switching to a plant-based non-dairy alternative phase and unsweetened milk may not be palatable for those who are starting out.
However unsweetened milk is perfect for those who love to bake or cook as there are many wonderful dishes that can be created such as vegan curry, smoothie bowls, acai bowls, bread, vegan cakes, vegan muffins, soups, casseroles, and the list is endless. And it’s great for your cup of coffee, tea or latte.
A lot of dairy free milk manufacturers often skimp on the nuts and use thickeners for nut milk instead. And they top if off with “natural flavourings” synthetic vitamins, and sugar.
Our plant milk contain all the micro and macro nutrients that the seed we use to make them has. And we use 60-70% nuts in our milk compared to the 10% nut content in packaged dairy free milk.
Not forgetting how pre-packaged plant milk gets heated up to extremely high temperatures in order to pasteurize or sterilize the milk, which kills the micro and macro nutrients present.
Yes, it can be heated up in low heat. Do not heat it at high temperature as it will start scoring & it will start to curdle.
Of course, you can freeze it to extend its shelf life and to even use as ice cubes for your drinks, however we wouldn’t recommend it as freezing plant based milk alters texture, taste and causes separation especially without all the chemicals.
Drinking dairy free milk after it has been frozen and thawed isn’t exactly the best idea. If you’re not the type of person who is easily affected by changes in texture and consistency, then you can go ahead and place this dairy milk alternative in the freezer but we definitely wouldn't recommend it.
No, our fresh dairy free milk are not designed to be a replacement for breast milk or infant formula.
Well if you are pregnant or nursing, be sure to speak with your doctor about your food and nutritional concerns. Your doctor will be able to better advice you on an appropriate diet and if that diet consist of fresh nut milk of course you can!
